Loop walk from Alwinton up to The Drake Stone, return via Harbottle

The route starts from the carpark at Alwinton, walk back down the road and over the River Alwn and River Coquet, turn right up the track by the start of the West Wood, walk all the way up and around the wood.  Stunning views from the top, bear right to Harbottle Lake and follow the track to The Drake Stone.

Come back down the track to rejoin the road, head into Harbottle and cross over the footbridge for a pleasant stroll back to the car along a lane.
