Loop walk to St Cuthberts Cave
St Cuthbert’s Cave, known locally as “Cuddy’s Cave is the formation of two natural sandstone caves that have always been associated as a resting spot for the body of the seventh century monk, bishop and hermit, St Cuthbert.
The walk starts from the carpark in the farm below the caves and we then head up in to the woods to view the caves, this is followed by a loop walk along farm tracks and over moorland to the top of the Kyloe Hills, where there are stunning views out towards the Holy Island of Lindisfarne.
