About Us

“Northern Adventures” came about during the Covid 19 lockdown of 2020 when international travel was severely restricted and the only holiday you could have had to be within your own country, in our case the UK.

During this time, many people, who had generally holidayed abroad, discovered that the UK is actually a great place to have a holiday, even if just a short break.

They also discovered that the North of England and Scotland consisted of more than just The Lake District and Edinburgh!

As we already operate a sister company, Pedal Power Cycling Ltd and provide very similar package experiences, but on bikes, we realised that there was a demand for these same packages but for walkers of all abilities.

The regions of Northern England, including Northumberland, Yorkshire, Cumbria and The Scottish Borders are steeped with history, unspoilt and ruggedly beautiful countryside, which for the greater part has gone unnoticed by the rest of the UK and the wider world as visitor destinations.

Whilst we don’t want to turn the area into a northern version of Cornwall, we do want to show off and be proud of what this region has to offer.

You will find that our staff and guides are all passionate about the region, the history, the flora & fauna, and the general tranquillity of the area.
